Star Wars Cakes

My husband is a Star Wars geek, I'll admit it. For his birthday I decided to do a Star Wars theme party, complete with cakes. On the left is yellow cake with chocolate pudding between the layers and ganache for the icing. For the logo, I went on line, printed out the logo, cut it out, laid it on the cake and used Duff's cake graffiti in silver. I also used some silver cake glitter to make stars. You can kind of see it better on the second picture, the one where my hubby is pressing the button to light up Darth and Luke's light sabers. On the right, a simple R2D2 cake.

Swimming Pool Cakes

My daughter wanted a swimming pool birthday party complete with pool cakes, what's a mom to do but make her wish come true. The top one is just several layers of cake, then on the top layer I cut out a circle, pasted it on with frosting, made sure there were no cracks and filled it in with jello. Gummy lifesavers were used for the floats.
I cheated and bought this pool stuff from my local wal-mart bakery. It was amazing how little they charged me for the pool set.
My little Jordan loved her cakes.

Halloween Birthday Cupcakes

Here are the Halloween birthday cupcakes for the kids party for my son. I am especially proud of how these turned out, and the inside rocked. The kids were so surprised when they bit into them.
Very simple to do. Make your cake as directed, divide into three bowls and tint each bowl whatever color you want. Then layer into the cupcake papers and bake. As it bakes the color comes up around the sides on it's own. Easy Peasy.

Halloween Birthday Cakes

My son wanted a Halloween themed birthday party, so these are the cakes I made for the family party. I intentionally made the writing squiggly on the round one, it is supposed to be "spooky". Oh yeah, being sleep deprived makes you misspell birthday.

Cupcake Tree

Hubby's birthday, we had a surprise party and lots and lots of cupcakes. Sparkler candles added a great touch.
